So sorry to be so late with this week's review, but I have been so sick, I just could not concentrate. On Monday, I received my food delivery around 1:45. The food inside all looked good, as usual, but the leek.......OMG, the leek was HUGE!
 | Wow! My leeks never grew even half that size last summer. It was so big and had such nice roots that I decided to cut off the last inch and plant it, just to see what happens. :) |
The portabello mushroom was a bit disappointing. It was not as large as I expected, but it was thicker than I thought it would be. Now I have to look up some recipes to cook it. The red potatoes were beautiful and small, as new potatoes should be and the carrots looked fresh from the garden.....they still had the tops on them.
All in all, the items received this week were great, I can hardly wait to cook some of them. Tonight I am going to make steamed new potatoes and whole carrots brushed with butter and garlic. They will be a perfect compliment to the broiled pork chops I am making.
