Now that the holidays are over and things have settled back down, I have decided to try to restock some of the things in my pantry that I have run out of. The first thing that I am finding that I have used up and am definitely missing is my homemade dry chili seasoning. Having this premade mix simplifies making chili and I can also make it much faster. Just toss in the cooked meat and veggies with tomato sauce and this seasoning mix and turn your crock pot on high for 4 hours and walk away. Fast and easy!
Dry Chili Seasoning:

Pour all the ingredients into a jar and shake to mix. Screw on the lid tight. Should last forever, if you keep it dry and make sure the lid is sealed.
Just make your chili as usual and then season it with this to taste. A bit of experimenting and you will know how much to put in for the size of your crock pot or soup pot.
Have a great weekend!
