Today I am sharing my dry mix Italian salad dressing recipe:
Dry Mix Ingredients:
You can omit the Mrs. Dash if you prefer You can add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper flakes, if you want it more spicy |
To Make the Dressing from the Mix:
In a mason jar, or any jar with a screw on lid, mix the following:
2 to 3 tablespoons of mix (to taste)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, (can use balsamic or white, if you prefer)
1/2 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons of warm water
Screw on the cap tightly and shake. Chill a couple hours to let the flavors blend before serving. Lasts at least a month in the refrigerator.
A Reduced Calorie Way to Make This Dressing:
One of the diets I was on over the years had a salad dressing recipe that was very similar to this, but to make it mixed the dry ingredients with two tablespoons of olive oil, 2/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar. It boasted only being 15 calories a tablespoon, so if you are watching your figure, you may want to make the dressing this way.
