My husband has been a mechanic all his life. That being said, I probably don't have to tell you how many hand tools he has. To make matters worse, he not only has tools to repair cars which he used to do, but he also has a full set of tools to work on semi truck engines and giant machinery, like cranes and excavators. Needless to say, the man knows tools.
Most of the places that he has worked are not climate controlled and as a result, his tools would develop rust spots from the humidity. He was very unhappy about this happening time and again because when you have that many tools, cleaning them takes a very long time. Then one of the mechanics that he worked with told him about these drawer liner rolls that stop tools from rusting. All you have to do is buy a roll, cut pieces to fit your drawers, and lay your tools on them. Voila! No more rusty tools. They have to be replaced every 2 years, but they are not expensive to replace.
So my husband bought a roll, well it was more like 4 rolls since his toolbox is the size of a Smart Car, and he lined all the drawers. Much to his surprise and delight, the liners worked perfectly. His hand tools no longer get rusty sitting in his toolbox.

I lifted the leftovers to line the drawers in my toolbox that I keep in the garage, because by the end of the summer I always had rust all over my hand tools because it is pretty humid where I live. I remember wishing that I had a giant tool box to put my garden tools in, so they wouldn't get rusty! Wouldn't that be nice!
