I love vinaigrette salad dressing! There are so many different types, I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you. You just whisk together the ingredients and chill for an hour. Simple to make and so delicious. Below are three of the dressings that I use the most, a basic vinaigrette, a balsamic vinaigrette and a tart and sweet raspberry vinaigrette. They are great on sprouts or slaw, as well as salad. Don't want to pay the high price for sprouts? See how easily you can grow your own in my blog post Grow Your Own Sprouts |
Simple Vinaigrette 1/2 cup seasoned rice vinegar 1 to 2 teaspoons dijon mustard 1 clove pressed garlic Balsamic Vinaigrette 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons rice vinegar 1 clove of crushed garlic Raspberry Vinaigrette 2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar 2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar |
All of these dressings are less than 15 calories per tablespoon and 0 grams of fat. You will never find a more flavorful dressing for such a tiny amount of calories. In addition for use on raw vegetables, salad and sprouts, these vinaigrettes are also wonderful drizzled on cooked vegetables, or macaroni. Don't be afraid to experiment!
Have a great week,
Jade :)
