Glass Cleaner - one cup of vinegar, one cup of water and a teaspoon of borax
Floor Cleaner (safe for wood floors too)- one quart of water, 1/2 quart vinegar and 1/2 cup of lemon juice
All Purpose Spray Cleaner (kitchen and bathroom) - 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1 tablespoon borax, fill the rest of the spray bottle with warm water and shake
All Purpose Cleaner for Big Jobs (in a bucket) - 1/2 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 gallon of warm water
Soft Scrub Type Cleaner - make a paste of baking soda and Dawn
Toilet Cleaner - 1/2 baking soda, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 cup warm water
Drain Cleaner - pour 1/4 cup salt down the drain, then pour 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain followed by 1/4 cup of vinegar. When it finishes foaming, pour another 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup of vinegar. Let stand for at least one hour and then pour one gallon of hot water down the drain.
Carpet Cleaner - 1/4 cup salt, 1/4 cup borax, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 gallon water for grimy paths in carpet. For dirty spots, make a paste of the first three ingredients (no water) and rub into the stain and let dry completely and then vacuum.
Steam Carpet Cleaner - 1/4 cup ammonia, 1/4 vinegar, 3 teaspoons Dawn, 1 gallon of warm water. Mix and pour into the steam cleaner.
Save yourself some money and some space. Get rid of some of the chemicals in you and
your family's life. It is a win/win situation all the way around.
