The best mold killer I know of is tea tree oil. It is antifungal as well as mold killing. The two drawbacks to this oil is that is it expensive (about $4 to $5 an ounce) and pretty stinky. (the smell does go away in a day or two)
2 teaspons tea tree oil
2 cups of water
Place ingredients in a spray bottle and shake. Spray directly on mold and do not wipe off or rinse. Solution does not spoil, just store in with the rest of your cleaners. Don't forget to clearly mark the bottle.
Another way to kill mold naturally is with grapefruit seed extract. The good news is that is it completely odorless. The bad news is that it is $5 to $10 an ounce. However, it takes very little to get the job done.
Grapefruit seed mold spray:
20 drops of grapefruit seed extract
2 cups of water
Mix in a spray bottle and spray directly on mold. Do not not wipe off or rinse.
You can also kill mold with straigh white vinegar, if you don't mind your house smelling like a jar of pickles for a few hours. The bad thing is, vinegar does not kill all kinds of mold, only about 80% of them. So there is a good chance it will work, but also a chance it may not, so keep this in mind.
Laters, :)
