1 lemon
1/2 cup of vinegar
water
plastic or rubber gloves (optional)
Step 1:
Place two cups of water in the microwave for five minutes. While the water is boiling, juice half the lemon. Mix the juice with half a cup of vinegar and stir till combined. |
Step 2:
When the five minutes is over, remove the water from the microwave and discard. Wipe down the interior of the microwave with the lemon/vinegar mixture, starting with the door. If you have stubborn crusties, you can use a plastic scrubber. I recommend using rubber gloves for this step. |
In a bowl, squeeze the other half of the lemon, then cut the lemon rind into medium slices and toss it in the bowl with the juice. Place the bowl in the microwave and microwave for five minutes. This will help get rid of the vinegar smell and also make your kitchen smell like lemons.
Let's all start the New Year with squeaky clean microwaves! Have a great weekend!
