The Whole Summer and Fall - All By Itself
I was strolling through my local nursery when I saw some stacking, four section, three tier stacking pots. My mind immediately started thinking of all the great things I could plant in these pots and the space it would save in my raised garden beds. I could see strawberries, herbs, and salad greens growing from the different sections of the tiers. I was so excited!

My excitement came to an abrupt end when I saw the price. $45 each! I would need at least two, and that kind of money simply was not in my budget, considering the other items that I needed to buy for the season. I was really bummed and reluctantly walked away from the planters. I could not even see a way of making them very easily or small enough for the place I had to put them. Sadly, I filed them under the "things I will buy when I strike it rich" and continued on with my shopping.
When I got home, I was working out on the deck my eyes went to the place on my deck where those planters would have fit perfectly and I had a thought: "I wonder if Amazon sells those kinds of planters?" I practically ran into the house and took a look and I could not believe my eyes! Amazon had theexact same planters, for less than $25 each!

I carried them outside and the hubby filled them with dirt while I sifted through my seeds to see what I wanted to plant in my salad gardens. This is what I decided on:
Bottom and Middle Tier Romaine lettuce |

When they do come up, I will have a great selection of mixed greens to choose from to make a salad, wilt or cook.
Have a great week,
Jade :)
