I went over and took a look and found a bunch of great videos of tasty looking food! I even ran across one on how to make kimchi! I watched it and it was a pretty simple thing to do, the worst of it is a special jar lid you need to let it ferment correctly. There is also one pretty unusual ingredient, but you can get it at Amazon or probably in the International Foods section of your grocery store.
Napa or Savoy Cabbage - Large Head
1 cup salt
1 tablespoon sugar
garlic (looked to be about 1/4 cup)
ginger (looked about 1/3 cup)
Korean Chili Flakes
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Water
You will need some of these airlocks, but they are not that expensive, especially the S Shaped. Both got good reviews. I ordered the S's and chili flakes, when they arrive, I am going to try this! I will let you know how it goes!
